Secret Options - While playing the game, press select and go to the options screen. Now press L1, L2, R1, and R2 at the same time. Once done correctly a secret options screen will appear allowing you to adjust weapon control, blood color, view control, turning and moving, and auto aim.

Next Fear - Next fear is the mode of Silent Hill that you can play after you have beaten the game once. In Next Fear, you can pick up new weapons and see a new ending. After you have beaten the game, and you're at the Game Results screen, you will be able to see the items you can pick up in the background. The better you do in the game, the more, and the better the items you will be able to get. The possible items are the katana, chainsaw, rock drill, gasoline, channeling stone, and the hyper blaster.

Katana: This weapon is behind the locked door of the house on Bachman Street. It is the house that you used the key from the doghouse to get into.

Chainsaw: You will have to go to Cut-Rite Chainsaws, a store. You can only have the chainsaw or the rock drill, not both, so pick wisely. Once you have beaten Next Fear with it, you can get the other as well.

Rock drill: You will find this behind the lower door of the Bridge Control Room. You can only have the rock drill or the chainsaw, not both, so pick wisely. Once you have beaten Next Fear with it, you can get the other as well.

Gasoline: This can be found at the Gas Station. You need it to power the chainsaw and the rock drill.

Channeling stone: The channeling stone can be found in the convenience store. It is hard to obtain. You will need a Good+ rating to be able to get it. If you use it in the following areas, you will see the UFO ending when you beat the game:

(Old Silent Hill) On the roof of the alternate school
(Alternate Central Silent Hill) Right outside the hospital before you fight the giant moth
(Resort Area) Norman's Motel, right in front of the apartments
(Alternate Resort Area) On the bridge of the boat
(Alternate Resort Area) On the roof of the lighthouse

Hyper Blaster: You get this immediatly after beating the game and seeing the UFO ending. The channeling stone will show up on the Game Results screen instead of the hyper blaster.
